Since 1979 American Woodcrafters has been providing fine Custom Stairs and Rails to Estate Builders, Descriminating Architects and Designers in the Virginia, DC, and Maryland Area. Sometimes it is a sleek modernistic look, including stainless steel and glass components. Other times we use warm mahogany and heart pine to create a sense of understated opulence. Or maybe it is a timber framed stair for that “cabin in the woods effect”. We are one of the few shops left in the country to provide “wreathed” rail work. Additionally, we have the skill and equipment to do hand carving and lathe work in house. This flexibility allows us to provide you with whatever you might want.
